Tennis Racquet Collection

As a keen tennis player from an early age I have always dreamt of starting a racquet collection.   A few years ago, working above an Op-Shop in South Melbourne, I found 4 terrific old Australian wood racquets from the late 20's to early 30's.   These stayed in view for a couple of years and then upon discovering Ebay my collecting and interest expanded.

I started out collecting Australian wood racquets and those with player pictures, both of which are highly collectable, but I found my passion amid the racquets I grew up with through the 1970's & 1980's as they evolved from wood to metal to graphite.

While I have a few lovely wooden racquets with wooden handles (pre-leather grips) and even some mid 20's wood frame/steel head racquets my desire is to collect unusual or odd shaped racquets for their novelty. Here are some I hope you enjoy seeing for the first time.
