David was appointed CEO in February 2010 having held a number of roles within the TR business. These roles included Branch Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Operations. Prior to joining TR, David worked as Export Manager for Recoil Pty Ltd., an Advent Private Capital investee company. The role covered North Asia (including China) South East Asia and the subcontinent, including branch responsibility in Singapore and Thailand. David also worked for Davey Products as Export Manager. This role covered the South Pacific, South East Asia and Southern Africa.
Gavan has been CFO of the TR Group since August 2010.
Gavan has held a number of senior finance roles within public and private companies including as CFO of AH Plant Hire for 11 years (originally part of Nylex Ltd and now part of Coates Hire), Kent Moving & Storage, ANL Shipping & Logistics and Impact Fertilisers. Prior to this Gavan worked for a number of years as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG Melbourne and in London.
Gavan holds a Bachelor of Economics and Accounting from Monash University, is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the TR Board.
Before joining TechRentals, Gerard worked in General and Sales management roles across the ANZ and SEA regions in electronics distribution. Gerard joined TechRentals in 2006 as Manager of NSW, and in 2008 became General Manager, undertaking the sales management and product asset utilisation. Gerard’s background is in electronics engineering in particular Telecommunications and also has a keen interest in water skiing.
Dennis has been recognised for his wealth of experience, professional achievements, and positive impact within the community; culminating with invitations to be a member of the Starlight Children’s Foundations Victorian Advisory Board, as well as a current Australia Day Victoria Ambassador.
Paul began his working career at Ansett Airlines within the accounts department, from there moving to the construction industry where he was given opportunity to own and operate a fleet of trucks within the industry.
In 1998 Paul joined Breakthrough Communications a Premium Dealer of Motorola Two Way Radio communications as a sales representative. Paul demonstrated great drive and enthusiasm, excelling in all facets of sales and rental solutions to a large array of verticals within the market place. This resulted in many top sales awards from Motorola during that time.
In 2003 Breakthrough Communications was acquired by Bearcom U.S.A, and not long after, Paul was promoted to Victorian Sales Manager. The business was then acquired by TechRentals where Paul remained as Victorian Sales Manager until he was promoted to General Manager of TR Bearcom Rental. During his tenure the business has grown to be the largest provider of two way radio communications rental in Australia, and undergone a name change and rebranding to TR Hirecom in 2012.
Denis has a strong engineering background with over 34 years of experience in the electronics industry. When Denis joined Philip Defence System in 1981 as the laboratory engineer, he was responsible for all technical aspects in establishing a brand new laboratory to support the FA-18 radar program in Australia. In 1991, Denis was appointed as a technical assessor by NATA and became the Laboratory Manager in 1997. Throughout the years, Denis has led his team through several business acquisitions by Bluegum, Solectron who are one of the biggest contract manufacturing companies in the world and VMS International. This was until 2006 when TR Pty Ltd acquired the VMS business. Denis was appointed as the General Manager of TR Calibration in 2010. During his tenure, the business is almost double in size and is continuing to grow.
Luc’s career began in his native France as a service technician in photographic equipment where he then progressed to Technical Export Manager. In 1992, Luc changed his career path and moved into sales and marketing as a Business Developer and Product Manager for EMP Technologies and Orty France, with both companies specialising in food processing equipment. Relocating to New Zealand in 1997 with his wife, he began his NZ career as Key Account Sales for APV NZ, a subsidiary of APV PLC, a global manufacturer of equipment and turnkey projects for the food industry. Prior leaving APV, Luc had advanced to the sales and marketing manager role in 2004.p>From there, Luc was the Auckland Branch Manager for Aquaheat, one of the largest NZ mechanical contractors, before becoming the General Manager of Fantech NZ, a market leader in ventilation in 2006.
Before joining Vidcom NZ in 2014, Luc was also General Manager of Imake, a specialist in beverage and food DYI kits, and then transited a $30 million dollar maintenance contract in a the oil and gas industry for Maintenir.
Satchi graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Multimedia University (Cyberjaya, Malaysia). This led him into the Telecommunications field, working for Maxis Sdn Bhd and DIGI Sdn Bhd. In 2001, Satchi joined TechRentals and has held a number of roles within the business. Satchi gained experience as a Sales Engineer, Marketing and Sales Manager and was heavily involved in IT infrastructure. In 2010, Satchi was elevated to his current role as Malaysian General Manager where he oversees the business operations of Southeast Asia.
